Last Sunday was a very special day for our new Nature and Herbs Glasgow centre as we held our very first Lifestyle Workshop aimed at women looking to reduce stress and benefit from a healthier lifestyle. This workshop on Stress Management for women covered all aspects of daily life for balanced and healthy living including: ayurveda, yoga, acupressure, naturopathy and balanced living. The objective of this workshop was to generate awareness about the benefits of introducing a healthy lifestyle to reduce stress in our daily life, aimed at women as they are more venerable to stress. Dr. Mamta Parikh, our in house ayurvedic doctor led the workshop and we were extremely fortunate to have Mr Sam Poddar (Intentional Yog teacher from Patanjalli Yog Peeth (UK) Trust) as our guest tutor to enlighten the participants from his vast experience on yoga, mudras (finger posture), acupressure, solar plex, naturopathy and much more.
We are excited to report that the four hour workshop was a resounding success. It also involved a practical yoga class, interactive discussion, a healthy ayurvedic lunch and ended with a laughter session leaving everybody happy and stress free. The participants were thrilled at the workshop being very productive, useful and practical. They learnt that the secret of stress reduction and long term stress management can be achieved by simply making small changes in their daily life.
